Yeah, did you get your answer? Burke left because Isaiah Washington, the actor who played Burke, insulted T.R. Knight, the actor who plays George, because T.R. is gay and Isaiah is a bigoted idiot. He got into a fight with Patrick Dempsey (the guy who plays Derek) over it and in the end had to be written off the show aka fired. So they made up this relatively logical and good storyline where Burke realized he didn’t love her as much as she loved him because she was willing to make sacrifices…

he realised she was changing too much just so she could marry him and she was loosing her identity in the process, plus she was only marrying him coz she loved him and he wanted to maryy her, not because she loved him and wanted to mayy him….sad Cristina gave too much of herself away for Burke and then he just left her…..

I don’t think that Isiah actually KNEW T.R. was “gay”. Does anyone remember the 80’s or have any kids in high school? I remember, everyone saying “f–” this, and “f-gg-t” that, in a joking way and it had NOTHING to do with anyone’s sexuality. Even kids in school (I’ve heard within the last few weeks) say, “h-mo”. I’m NOT excusing it, just giving a possible explanation.
